Clive Robertson of Little Rock, Arkansas is the new front runner for dumbest criminal of the year.
On March 25th, 2009 at roughly 1:30 pm Robertson walked into a downtown Quik & Ready convenience store wearing a ladies stocking over his head. He approached the counter and while brandishing a blade, demanded the attendant, Lillian Walker, to give him all the money in the register. She obliged to the command and filled the burlap sack she was presented with the register's contents, $214 in total. Robertson fled the store and Walker called the police.
Robertson was apprehended by city police shortly ofter the robbery took place. Walker was able to tell the police exactly who it was who robbed the store because up until 12:00 pm of the same day Robertson had been an employee at the location, before he was fired for continually being late for shifts. He even wore the shirt from his Quik & Ready uniform, complete with name tag.
Robertson faces charges of Armed Robbery and if convicted faces up to 25 years in prison. Walker was unable to be reached for comment.
